NoFap And Viagra – My Experience

NoFap And Viagra – My Experience

In this post I'm going to share my personal experiences with using Viagra during my PMO reboot.

So, if you did a search for NoFap and Viagra in order to find out if using ED drugs during your NoFap journey is a good or a bad idea, then you might want to stick around for a while because…

…I'm going to tell you everything.

Short About My PMO History

In order to get the most out of this article, you need to know a little about my history.

I started using internet porn somewhat late, as I'm one of those older guys who grew up without the internet. I was born in 1976 and high speed internet didn't enter my life until I was somewhere around 27-28 years old.

I did have internet a couple of years prior to this, but it was very slow back then and, believe it or not, porn wasn't that easy to find back then.  I don't think the all tube sites with streaming functions had entered the picture yet.

Up until then I never had any problems with performing in the bedroom. In fact, I always had a strong, healthy libido for real life women and my erections were working just fine. Except for the very normal problem with busting a bit too soon sometimes, when overly excited, there were never any problems.

Enter: high speed internet ==> A blow to my libido!

At first, when getting high speed internet, around age 27-28, I thought it was great (little did I know what was about to happen).

I started finding adult sites and my fapping sessions quickly become longer and longer because, well, there was so much to explore.

Needles to say, it didn't take very long before this became a problem.

Porn was starting to compete for my libido…

I didn't know it at first, but slowly but surely porn started competing with my real life libido and, after a few years of using it, I had conditioned myself to become more aroused by what I say on the computer screen, than by real life women.

The Dating Life And My Weak Erections During NoFap

I was not really that active on the dating scene for a few years due to me having anxiety problems, in addition with me being somewhat satisfied with just hanging around at home.

So, I did not have many sexual encounters during this time, but the few I had felt kind of strange…

…like my usual strong libido wasn't there like it used to be, and I also noticed that I didn't really get as hard as I used to, back when I was younger.

As a guy with plenty of anxiety, I brushed it off as performance anxiety and kept going.

…and the real life girls were starting to lose.

I was able to perform well, but my libido felt strange. It felt awkward and not like when I was younger.

What I didn't know then was that there was a battle for my libido going on between porn and real life girls…

…and that the porn was starting to win!

Then came a long stretch of time without me going on any dates, all while I was continuing to use my beloved adult sites, still without knowing what they were doing to me…

…until, the next date:(

The horrendous date when it hit me…

In my 30's I thought that I had had enough of the loneliness so I decided to get back out on the dating scene again. Well, I met a woman I found on a dating site that I found somewhat interesting and we decided to meet up.

It didn't take that long until we ended up in bed and it was then it hit me like a bolt of lightning…

…something was seriously wrong with me!

Why?

Well…

Here I was with a woman that I objectively found extremely attractive, in fact she was the most beautiful woman I had dated so far, and my erection were just reaching, perhaps 60-70% of its full “potential”. The strong libido was missing and my erection were way too weak for being a healthy man in his 30's. I knew right then and there that something was wrong…it was horrendous!

I found out that my problem was caused by fappig to adult sites

Needless to say, I started searching online for all kinds of causes for weak erections and it didn't take long until I found Gary Wilsons site, Your Brain On Porn, and it hit me right then and there:

…all the years of fapping to adult sites had both desensitized my brain as well as rewired its sexual responses to me more turned on by pixels on a screen than by real life women.

I also found rebooting forums and I decided to start rebooting right away!

I talk more about this in the video below, where I share my full story.

I really struggled with my reboot…

I relapsed a lot in the beginning.

In fact it took me 7 years before I finally stopped relapsing for good and during those 7 years I kept dating and had many bad sexual performances.

Sure, I took a few months off with no dates, here and there, just to get a complete break from anything sexual and thus be able to reboot more effectively…

…but I kept relapsing!

Rebooting – Dating – And The Embarrassment Of Performing Badly

I had to get on with my life and since I knew there was a risk that my rebooting would take forever I decided to keep dating here and there…

…but the embarrassment of sometimes going soft while putting the condom on and most of the times not being able to get as hard as I should made me, in desperation, go to a doctor and ask for a prescription for Viagra.

Now, I did manage to build up some longer rebooting streaks here and there without relapses and during those streaks I had started to see small improvements in my erection quality.

I knew that the rebooting was working, and that it was the real solution to my problem, but I still wanted to see if Viagra could help during my PMO reboot. My thoughts were, if it would be able to help just a little bit, it would make me more confident and thus I'd be able to rewire my sexual responses to real life women.

The Embarrassment Of Going To A Professional To Ask For a Viagra Prescription

I remember having to sit in the waiting room for a long time to get into the doctors room. I was nervous and I didn't feel good about it.

It was a female doctor and I knew her from before and I also knew that she was open minded and that it was possible to discuss pretty much anything with here, which helped..

She was very understanding…

I still felt very embarrassed when laying out the “theory” I had seen on Gary Wilson's site, your brain on porn, that fapping a lot to porn actually can cause weaker erections, and even total ED in some guys (which of course is so much more than just a theory and today it is actual facts).

As I sat there explaining everything I had red about dopamine and the downregulation of dopamine receptors that can happen when binging and the rewiring that takes place, I expected here to laugh at me and tell me that things like that can't happen…

…but she didn't.

She was very understanding and told me it sounded like a logical explanation.

After the explanation about what I had learned online I told her that I met someone (by that time I was sort of dating a new girl who were living closer to me) and that things in the bedroom didn't work as well as they should for me, given I was physically very healthy, and that even if I was going to give up porn I wanted to see if Viagra could help me get my confidence in the bedroom back.

She actually smiled and said, “where did you meet this lucky girl?”, which being in such a vulnerable position and all, I found both amusing and comforting.

“We need more doctors like this!”, I thought, as I walked out the door with the prescription in my hand.

My Experience With Using Viagra During NoFap

I didn't get to have sex with that new girl I was dating. She pulled the all too known “let's just be friends” card out of her hat and that was it, there went my chances of rewiring…

…with her, at least.

I tried to brush off my wounded pride, the best I could, and moved on with my life.

I found a new date and since I now had real Viagra in my tool belt, I was curious to see if it would actually help. Once I noticed we were coming closer and closer to ending up in bed, I decided to try it out.

She didn't know about the pills.

I knew that we were going to end up in bed…

We had met in a small town in which neither of us were living in and rented a hotel room and I knew it was going to happen that night.

We were about to go for a walk and I said…

“Wait a minute, I just need to go to the bathroom first”

In the bathroom I swallowed my first Viagra pill, without her knowing anything about it.

We took a long, two hour walk.

It was a very warm and nice summer evening and I remember it like yesterday. The birds where singing and a breeze of fresh air softly brushed my face as we were walking up and down the blocks in that old fashioned town that were so new to both of us.

Here's how using Viagra while doing NoFap worked for me…

When we got backto the hotel room, sure enough, one thing led to another and we ended up in bed, the very first night.

This was it, I was “loaded” with Viagra and now it was going to happen.

As we were kissing I felt myself getting a bit hard…

…but was it enough?

The disappointment…

Don't worry. I'm not going to share in detail what happened, but I will say that it was a huge dissapointment for me.

Viagra did work a bit, but it was only a very small improvement.

I did get, perhaps 10% harder, but I was still nowhere near my full “potential” and I still felt the same strange feeling, that my “real libido” wasn't there.

I knew this was not like it was supposed to feel.

That libido I used to have in my early twenties, were was it?

Well, I knew that there was pretty much nothing more I could do now than to just keep rebooting.

Using ED drugs during NoFap helped with…

To sum up the positive benefits from using Viagra during my PMO reboot it would look like this…

  • It helped me be about 5-15 % harder, at best, depending on the day.
  • It helped a bit to maintain the erection when switching positions.
  • It helped a bit when trying to get the condom on without losing the erection.

All in all, using Viagra during my NoFap reboot did not help me much at all.

This is obviously because PIED is a brain problem and not a blood flow problem.

Now, once the erection was, at least somewhat there, it did help me keep it for a bit longer, as it helped the blood stay “trapped” in there, which is also why I fund it a bit helpful when changing positions or when fumbling with the condom etc…

…but all in all, it was hardly worth it.

Using ED drugs during NoFap did NOT help with…

It is also safe to say that using Viagra during my reboot…

  • Did not help with the awkward feeling of “something being wrong”.
  • Did not increase my libido.
  • Did not make it feel more pleasurable.
  • I was still just as desensitized and damaged by all the porn.

In addition to this I got a flushed face and a nasty headaches everytime I tried it. That and the thought of me functioning so poorly, even with the help of prescription “heavy duty stuff”, made me even more depressed, but I still kept using it, on and off, for some time.

I kept on rebooting, I knew I had to, but…

…I also kept relapsing.

So I started looking into all kinds of other, natural, libido enhancers out there.

I Found Something That Worked Better Than Viagra

Most of the stuff I tried I found totally useless and to be a complete waste of money.

After some time, however, I found two different products that actually worked pretty well for me and one of them was the product AlphaViril. In fact, I was surprised to find that it was more helpful for me than Viagra had been…

…in fact, much more helpful!

I'm pretty sure that's because AlphaViril works by targeting several areas of your sexual mechanism.

  • It increases your dopamine levels.
  • It increases your testosterone.
  • It has specific ingredients in it that are proven to make you more sensitive “down there”.
  • It has ingredients in it that stimulates the sexual centre in the brain.
  • And lastly, on top of that, it also significantly increase blood flow (the only thing Viagra does)

I don't know if it's because the increase in dopamine, that it worked so well for me, since a big part of PIED is due to low dopamine leves, or if the synergistic effect of the many ingredients did some kind of sexual magic, but again, it actually worked surprisingly well.

Raw horniness…

For the first time in ages I could feel that “raw horniness” in the bedroom again and the long lost libido was back …

… of course, my erections responded positively to that as I got harder than I had been able to get in many years.

I was still not 100% there,  though, but it did work much better than the Viagra.

I Continued Rebooting And Things Got Better And Better

As you can hear in the video you saw on this page, it took me about seven years before I finally had my last relapse.

However, I did manage to build up longer and longer streaks during the last couple of years so, I did start to see improvements in my erection quality long before my last relapse.

Today, almost 9 years after I first found Gary Wilsons website, I feel strong, confident, energetic and everything is working like it should, down there, but it took me many years to get there…

…years I'll never get back.

What about using AlphaViril today, when cured?

I never used Viagra after I found AlphaViril, and today things are working just fine, even without Viagra or any supplements.

That said, even though I'm fully cured today, I still use AlphaViril from time to time just because it makes things even more pleasurable in the bedroom.

If I use it now that I'm cured then, holy shit, say “hello steel pipe!”

It is like I almost feel the blood pumping and my pulse in the tip of my penis. The blood pumping with raging libido, so needless to say, sex becomes extremely pleasurable.

In addition to that AlphaViril is also a testosterone booster, so that's another reason for me still using it, from time to time, as it really helps me keep my hormone levels in tip top condition.

I have even confirmed that it works by taking before and after blood test, which I write about in the article AlphaViril review – My experience.

NoFap And ED Drugs Final Words

Ok, so that was my personal experience with using Viagra during NoFap.

One big point I want to remind you of, though, is that we are all different and these were exactly that, my experience, meaning, yours may differ.

F.A.Q's About Using Viagra During a PMO Reboot

Q: Can Viagra really fix PIED?

A: No. Viagra does not fix PIEX, only rebooting will fix you. Viagra can help a little bit, but since the problem is caused by physical changes in the brain, it does not fix you. Some guys with PIED get a bit harder when using it, but there are also many “PIED guys” who see absolutely now improvements at all in their erection quality when using Viagra during NoFap.

Q: Is it right or wrong to use Viagra during no PMO, or to use libido supplements?

A: Look, rebooting is something you do to help yourself. It is not something you sign up to and something you can get “disqualified from”.

In other words, your life, your rules!

My personal view, however, is as long as you understand that rebooting is your main priority, and that everything else is to be considered helpful tools only it's okay. And, as long as you don't start relying on them and start using them to the point that you start neglecting the main thing, which again, is rebooting. But, if you have a HEALHTY MINDSET then using them as helpful tools to help you rewire with real life people and help you a bit with your confidence, is perfectly fine, in my opinion.

Q: Can using Viagra during NoFap set you back?

A: As long as it doesn't make you relapse more to porn again, It won't hold you back. Just never, ever EVER go back to porn again, and you will improve. How long does it take? Well,  no one knows the exact answer to this, as it's different for everyone, but I have done my best to calculate an average from everything I have seen over the years and you can read more about that in the blog post How long does it take for NoFap to fix PIED?
