A lot of people cringe when they hear guys talking about the NoFap superpowers, and that’s understandable because, well, it kind of reminds us of cartoon heroes like Superman or Spider-man etc…

…and  with those images in min the next obvious thing they start questioning is; “how could  simply NOT playing with your dick suddenly make you a hero with superpowers?”

Well, let’s get one thing straight from the very start…

…the word “superpower” is subjective and the benefits from NoFap is different for everyone…

…however, hundreds of thousands of guys are really experiencing benefits  so strong and obvious that using the word “superpowers” is actually not far fetched at all.

So, let’s take a closer look at the mysterious NoFap super powers…

What Are The NoFap Superpowers?

Further down in the article I will share a step by step action plan how to get the NoFap superpowers, but to really understand all of this, make sure to read this intro as well…

So what exactly are the NoFap superpowers?

What benefits are the NoFap guys referring to, when using the word “superpowers” ?

Here Are The NoFap Superpowers…
  • A tremendous increase in confidence (No more fucks given about what others think of you)

  • A massive energy increase (This will of course help with everything in life)

Does Every Guy Who Start NoFap Get The Superpowers?

Some guys are lucky enough to get all the benefits, and on top of that, the benefits are strong and significantly increased.

Those guys are the lucky NoFappers that we can for example see on forums, telling us how NoFap is the greatest thing and that the NoFap superpowers are real.

Others may only experience some mild benefits, while some guys only feel improvements in one area…

…and then there are also a lot of guys who do not notice any “superpowers” at all. So why is this?

Why The Different Results?…

So how come not every guy experience the NoFap superpowers?

Why are the results and the benefits so vastly different between the the guys?

Well, there are MANY reasons for this and I think no one knows all the variables here, because remember, NoFap is not an exact science, but there are a few thing we DO know…

…so let’s take a look at a few reasons…

Addiction Related Brain Changes From Porn Use Will Cause The Benefits To Unfold Differently…

99,9% of guys don’t just masturbate. They combine fapping with online porn.

The problem is that today’s high speed internet porn is so incredible stimulating that it is literally causes physical changes inside the brain…

…addiction related brain changes.

There are several brain changes that occurs, like for example…

  • Desensitization
  • A build up of DeltaFosB
  • Sensitization
  • Hypofrontality
  • A change in the brains stress center

Some of the above brain changes get more deeply ingrained into the brain depending on the person…

…each guy is affected differently.

Also, some guys only develop a mild addiction while others become severely addicted, and every guys brain is affected differently by those brain changes. Some guys are more desensitized than others, while others have big problems with lack of control caused by hypofrontality.

On top of that, we all have different brains with some brains healing much faster than others…

…so this will of course cause HUGE variations in how long it takes for guys to start seeing benefits when they quit fapping.

NoFap + Healed Brain = Potential For Superpowers

  • NoFap, or semen retention alone will not give you superpowers until your brain is at least mostly healed from the brain changes caused by porn. 
  • A recovered brain alone will not give you superpowers without NoFap or semen retiention.

We need both!

A healed brain without NoFap won’t give you the much wanted superpowers…

…likewise, NoFap alone will not give you superpowers until most of the brain changes have healed.

Also, notice I said “potential” for superpowers.

Even if the brain has healed and they are doing NoFap, a lot of guys will still not experience the superpowers. Those guys need to proactively TRIGGER the superpowers and I’ll talk more about exactly how to do that further down in the article.

 How Long Does it Take Until You Can Trigger The Superpowers?

So how long does it take to get the NoFap superpowers?

Well, this is very difficult to give an answer to, but here are some rough guidelines.

Note that I don’t think that your brain has to be completely, 100%, healed before you are capable of triggering the so called semen retention “superpowers”. I think there is potential to feel massive benefits as soon as your brain is mostly healed, as in 65-80% or so, but who really knows the exact numbers?


10-21 days;  If you have not developed any addiction related brain changes, you should be able to trigger the super powers as soon as somewhere in your second to third week of NoFap.


30-60 days; If you have only developed a mild addiction, you could be able to trigger the superpowers somewhere around this time.


60-90 days; If you have a medium severe addiction, it could take you about 60-90 days of strict rebooting before you are even capable of triggering the superpowers.


90-180 days; If you have a very severe addiction, it could take you somewhere between 90-180 days to start seeing results. Note that a lot of guys need much more time than this for their brains to fully recover, but again, I don’t think the brain need to be 100% healed before we can start enjoying the semen retention benefits.

This is How To Get NoFap Superpowers

In order to make this happen we need to divide your action plan into two different categories.

  1. What you must avoid
  2. What you can proactively do to TRIGGER the superpowers

You see, for a lot of guys, abstinence alone will not be enough to bring out the nofap superpowers. Some guys have to actively use some form of stimuli and TRIGGER the superpowers in order to finally get them.

Likewise, there are a few harmful things you could be doing to yourself that will prevent the superpowers from manifesting…

…let’s take a closer look at those…

NoFap Superpowers Action Plan
Step 1: What To Avoid…

Looking oneself in the mirror to inspect potential weaknesses can be painful. However, in order for this to work, you have to be brutally honest with yourself here…

…do you over consume any, or several, of the following….

Alcohol

If you are consuming large amounts of alcohol on a regular basis, you will probably never see the NoFap superpowers.

Sure, you will still get some benefits, but never to the point of being strong enough to be called “superpowers”…

…this is especially true if you are addicted to alcohol and you are abusing it. HOWEVER,  you don’t have to be addicted to alcohol for it to prevent you from getting the NoFap superpowers.

This is because, just like frequent porn use, frequent alcohol consumption also desensitizes the reward circuitry in your brain. This leads to a disrupted dopamine system and…

…it is literally impossible for you to experience benefits strong enough to be called superpowers, if your dopamine signaling is not working properly.

How much can I drink without it preventing NoFap benefits…

Sure you can still enjoy a few glasses of alcohol every now and then, without it messing with your dopamine system, but if you really want to get the nofap powers you have to limit your use.

There is no exact data on this and we are all different, but speaking from experience I can say that personally I need to keep my alcohol consumption to a 2 drink max, no more than two times a weak.

Your mileage may vary, but again, alcohol really does mess with your reward circuitry, and if you want the nofap superpowers, your best bet is to keep your consumption as low as possible…

…or cut it out completely!

Sugar And Junk Food…

Studies on rats show that eating a lot of sugar and junk food is a powerful enough stimuli for the rats brains to start reducing dopamine receptor density in the reward circuitry…

…unfortunately, it is the same with humans.

In other words, if you are doing NoFap, but you still have an extremely poor diet, I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt, you will never get to experience the strongest NoFap benefits.

It’s not really as bad as alcohol though, so you can still enjoy some crappy food here and there, but the majority of your meals MUST be healthy, unprocessed, food.

Go ahead and grab a donat with your coffee every once in a while, but here too, keep it to a minimum. No more than two-three times a week.

Internet, Social Media And Video Games…

Here too there are studies showing how social media, internet addiction and video games can cause your reward center to become more numb…

…why? Well, it’s the constant clicking and searching for “the new, next, best thing” that hammers your reward center.

In a way it mimics porn use. You keep clicking and chasing, causing your brain to lose focus after just a few seconds as you have to find something new and the need for novelty can become an addiction in and of itself…

…this need for novelty becomes especially prevalent with social media, video games and just general aimless internet browsing.

If you want to play a video game, fine, by all means play it, but do it as a reward after your daily chores are done and limit your sessions to max one hour.

As far as using internet goes, make a habit out of using internet as a tool to learn new things and to educate yourself. Of course you can still use it for recreation, but then use it in a mindful way instead of aimless browsing. In other words, plan your internet activity and then follow your plan. This way you won’t get dragged along and start drifting aimlessly.

When it comes to social media, you’d be better of just deleting your accounts…

…now, of course you don’t have to do this, but at least delete them from your smartphone. This way it’s easier to consciously decide when to go there and that way YOU are still in control…

…If you have them on your phone, however, all the notifications will probably make you lose control and make you drift…

…aimlessly chasing those dopamine fixes.

Other drugs…

Perhaps needless to say, the same goes with other drugs as well. If you are using any hard drugs then you can forget about ever experiencing any superpowers…

…but then again, if you have serious problems with hard drugs, NoFap should probably not be your main focus right now. If so, your primary goal should be to get professional help and quit your drug use.

Step 2: Trigger The Superpowers
What To Proactively DO!

Ok, let’s get to the fun stuff!

Let’s look at the things we should add to our lives, and proactively do, in order to stimulate and trigger the NoFap superpowers to manifest.

For many guys the libido will get stuck in a so called “sleeping mode” when rebooting or doing NoFap, and since our sex drive is the core engine behind the super powers, we must use different kinds of “stimuli” to kickstart and ignite the engine.

Think Of The Superpowers Like A Combustion Engine…

A combustion engine works because the piston inside the cylinder compresses the air, making it very hot. Then a small amount of gasoline is mixed with the hot air and finally the spark from the spark plug ignites the gas mixed air, causing an explosion, driving the piston back down…

…this procedure is then repeated in a very fast tempo, explosion after explosion, and there you go, that’s the engine running.

NoFap is Like The Piston – Creating The Compressed Hot Air

When you do NoFap the energy and tension is increasing in your body. This is like the piston compressing the air…

…now, in order to get the superpowers, we need something to ignite or trigger it, just like the spark plug does to the hot air in the combustion engine. If we can achieve this, the superpower engine will start running.

For some guys all the parts of their “engine” is working properly, and they automatically start experiencing the superpowers just by abstaining from porn and masturbation…

…however, others who are doing NoFap are not that lucky. They are creating that increased energy, (compressed air), but for some reason their “spark plug” is not working properly…

…they need to find a way to make the spark plug work, and this is what I mean by TRIGGERING the superpowers!

This is What You Can Do To Trigger The Superpowers…

Ok, so let’s take a look at a few ways you can cause that spark that hopefully triggers your superpowers.

These things work differently for different guys and you will have to experiment with them to find the one that works best for you…

…of course, doing several or even all of them, will probably work best.

Masturbate before you go out in public. STOP before reaching orgasm and do NOT use porn (CONTROVERSIAL)

This one is going to be controversial, but the fact is that this can really work wonders to ignite the spark plug and thus trigger your superpowers.

That said, if you are afraid of relapses, or if you are in the beginning of your PMO reboot, then you should probably avoid this and save it until you are further along in your NoFap journey.

In order for it to work, you must follow these steps…

  • Masturbate until you achieve and erection without using any external stimulation.
    (This means NO porn, NO pictures, NO sound etc.)
  • Do NOT ejaculate!!!
    (Don’t ejaculate because if you do, it is like you lose that compressed air in the example of the combustion engine)
  • While masturbating to get yourself hard, fantasize about making love to someone you have seen in real life.
    (It can NOT be a movie star or a porn actress)
  • Immediately go out in public, spending time around real life girls
    (The masturbation session triggered your sexuality, and as soon as you are done,  you immediately need to go out in public, showing it where the superpowers are supposed to manifest themselves…)

Don’t do the masturbation session for many minutes…

…just until you achieve an erection and then you keep going about one minute after that, while fantasizing about making love to someone you have seen in real life.

Why do all this?

Well, because this can wake up your sleeping libido and thus it can trigger the superpowers to manifest, but remember; if you ejaculate you will fail because that is no longer semen retention, and thus also no superpowers for you…

…we just want to ignite the spark plug, and that is done by doing the above mentioned technique.

Cold Showers…

Remember now, all the things I share as a way to trigger the superpowers are supposed to be done in combination with NoFap / semen retention.

Cold showers are great, but they alone won’t get you get any NoFap superpowers…

…you need NoFap + The trigger (in this case, the cold showers)

Cold showers are so shocking to the whole body, causing several biological responses, including  increased dopamine, testosterone etc, that they can trigger your superpowers.

This is something I have personally noticed over and over again. On many of my semen retention streaks I simply lack the superpowers, until I jolt my whole body by taking brutally cold showers…

…and I am not alone in this, as many guys have reported the same.

Cold showers are very unpleasant, but they can really be exactly what you need to ignite those NoFap powers.

Optimize Your Testosterone And Dopamine

I’m sorry to say that, if you have very low levels of testosterone, you can forget about getting the NoFap superpowers…

…it simply won’t happen…ever!

This is because testosterone is the key player behind our sex drive and also behind traits like..

  • Dominance
  • Aggressiveness
  • Confidence
  • Focus
  • Drive
  • Giving less of a fuck what others think about you

Now, I am not saying that you need to have very high levels of testosterone in order to get the NoFap superpowers, although that helps, but I am saying you will probably never get them if your levels are very low.

The same goes with dopamine. Dopamine and testosterone actually cooperates and those two are the major players driving your whole libido…

…and as everyone of us already know, our whole sexuality is what’s driving the superpowers. I mean that’s why NoFap and semen retention works in the first place.

WARNING: If you are not used to physical exercise, you might want to get checked by a doctor before you start doing intensive stuff like sprinting. Your doctor needs to clear you for takeoff.
