Well, most addicts have their relapses when the blood sugar come crashing back down after it has been elevated. And the quicker and higher you spike your blood sugar, the bigger the crash.

To put it short, blood sugar spikes and crashes increase your risk of relapsing.

What you want to do is to either reduce the total number of carbs you eat or choose low GI carbs. (GI stands for glycemic index and is a measurement of how fast certain foods turn into sugar in the blood stream).

What to Avoid Eating on NoFap

I know that the keto diet is feels pretty extreme to a lot of people, so let’s take a look at what foods you should avoid no matter if you choose to be on a normal diet or a keto diet.

Foods to avoid on NoFap…

  • Sugar (not really a food, but it drastically increases your risk of relapse)
  • Alcohol (same)
  • Processed foods / junk food
  • Sugary snacks

Also, try to avoid these foods because of their high GI value…

  • White bread.
  • White rice.
  • Baked potatoes.
  • French fries.
  • Chips
  • Rice crackers.
  • Fruits such as watermelon and pineapple.
  • Dried fruits.
  • Instant oat
  • Cornflakes

All of those foods spike you blood sugar very quickly and the crash will be significant.

Now, I’m not saying you can never eat any of those, but what I am saying is that you should be aware of the relapse risk if you do.

Foods to Enhance The NoFap Powers?

A lot of guys claim certain healthy foods to “raise their vibration” and thus amplify the NoFap benefits.

To be honest, I cringe a bit when I hear people take about “vibrations”, because if I where to ask them to explain what they mean by “vibrations” not one of them can explain what they are talking about.

Yes I know everything is vibrating, but so what? no one can tell you how it works…

…especially not how it affects you in relationship to other things.

That said, I’m not saying there isn’t anything to it either, and eating healthy is certainty a good thing that you should be doing.

These are normal healthy foods like…

  • Organic, fresh vegetables
  • Berries
  • Organic fresh meat.

Basically, natural and organic foods that are super rich in nutrition and are not that sweet.

Eating healthy in general does indeed seem to increase the strength of your NoFap benefits.

Nothing strange has to be going on here -although it might, we just don’t know- I’m just saying I’m not one to use all that “vibration” talk.

Nothing strange here, other than the less you numb your brain with super stimulating junk food, the more sensitive it becomes to dopamine. Which is a good thing since you can then more easily feel positive emotions / benefits.

The enhanced benefits you can potentially experience from eating clean on NoFap are…

  • More motivation / drive
  • More energy
  • Better focus and concentration
  • Better memory
  • Less anxiety
  • Better mood
  • More confidence
  • More “people attraction”

Too much junk food could potentially slow down your recovery…

If you really over consume supernormal stimuli like alcohol, gambling, video games and junk food, then you might indeed be slowing down your recover process. And in worst case scenario it might not even happen at all.

This is because you keep blasting your dopamine system with high stimulating stuff when your poor dopamine receptors are already desperately trying to recover from all the porn you used to watch.

TO be clear, by “recovery process” I mean the reversal of your desensitized reward system.

Final Words

You go ahead and eat exactly the way you want. Vegan, keto, mediterranean diet etc, it doesn’t really matter as long as you cut out the processed junk food and try to watch out for the high GI foods.

Also, do be careful with alcohol!

I have now coached so many guys that wasn’t able to overcome their porn addiction until they also gave up alcohol.  I’m not saying it can’t be done, but I am saying it’s so much harder to do.

In conclusion, more “real food” and less “fake food” is the best way to go about it. Just like less pixels on a screen and more real life people is the way to go, when rebooting from porn.
