- They watch it for a little while and then they want something NEW…
- So they click on another clip that is suggested to them under the current video…
- Then they watch that video for about 30-50 seconds or so and then they again feel that they want something NEW…
- And so they go after yet another clip…they continue and repeat this
- …over and over and over.
What you just read is the description of the core problem.
It’s about dopamine…
When you are having sex, or watching porn, your dopamine levels are elevated. When the first clip is starting to become boring it is because your dopamine levels are on their way back down…
…but dopamine feels good, so this is why you keep clicking to a new scen in order for it to shoot up again.
You want it to raise again, but the problem is; when you keep doing this you are overriding your natural satiation mechanism.
In real life, dopamine is supposed to raise during sex because that is what’s driving us to go after sex in the first place, but it is also supposed to come back down after a while. Think about it, when this happens in real life, you can’t just click a mouse button to get a NEW partner every 40 seconds or so, like you do with the porn. This is why porn keeps your dopamine elevated far longer than in real life and thus you are overriding your natural satiation mechanism.
You need to know that keeping your dopamine levels sky high for a long time is bad.
Let’s take a closer look at what happens to your brain when doing that…
When overriding your natural satiation mechanism – dopamine receptors suffer, leaving you with a disrupted dopamine system – causing a numb pleasure response!
They key thing to understand is that when you dopamine levels are too high for a long time, your brain will start protecting itself against the massive amount of dopamine and it does so by killing off a few dopamine receptors.

I highly recommend you cut out the porn for the rest of your life because that’s the thing that caused your brain changes in the first place.
Look; I personally have no moral problems with porn, and I am not religious, but I stay away from porn as much as much as I can simply because I know the negative neurobiological effects it has on the brain. So even if you manage to reverse your problem by doing a long reboot, why would you want to go back to it again since it would probably just cause your problem to come back?
When it comes to fapping in and of itself, well, that’s another thing…
What about fapping without porn after the reboot?
This is something that is up to each and everyone.
Masturbation is something that has always been a part of human behaviors and it never really caused any problems before we got high speed internet…
…it is when you mix it with today’s super stimulating porn that it becomes a problem.
It’s up to you to decide whether or not you want to keep the fapping habit in your life after your reboot is done. Just try to stay away for it as much as possible during the actual reboot process because if you keep fapping during this time, it will reactivate the porn pathways in your brain and the whole point of the reboot is to get those pathways to weaken and eventually die.

The truth is that it is different for everyone. It is very individual.
It depends on so many factors. Here are just a few of those factors…
- How deep the brain changes are?
- How young the guy was when he started using porn?
- Has he developed several, addiction related brain changes?
- How healthy his lifestyle is in other ways
- How much he is spending time with real life people during the reboot
…and much, much more.
I can give you some rough guidelines though, but you should take them with a grain of salt because again, it is so very individual.

Now, again, your results may vary and even though these numbers look grim, rest assured that if you keep going you will slowly, but surely get better.
Also, it is not an on / off switch, meaning you you will gradually start feeling more and more sensitivity again as the weeks roll by.

Q: Most people say it takes 90 days to fix delayed ejaculation with nofap but I got better after only 30 days. Does this mean that fapping was not my problem and I can go back to using porn?
A: It’s up to each and everyone to choose how they want to live, but I don’t think going back is such a smart idea. While the majority of men need much more than 30 days in order to fix DE, some people do heal that fast. Some people need 90 days, other much more than that while some lucky guys recover faster. If you do go back, however, you will quickly find out if porn was the problem and if your DE returns, then you know for sure. But again, if I were you, I would not go back.
Q: Does nofap help delayed ejaculation if I stop fapping but keep watching porn?
A: Probably not, unless you had some really weird fapping habit and had some severe “death grip fapping action” going on. Porn is the problem. I’m sorry to say, but in order for nofap to work for delayed ejaculation, porn has to go.
