Does NoFap Help Delayed Ejaculation?
Does NoFap Help Delayed Ejaculation?
I started NoFap because I have trouble climaxing with my girlfriend, “can NoFap cure delayed ejaculation?”
This is one of the most common questions I get in my email inbox today, and since so many guys are asking this, I thought I'd make a blog post about it.
The post will be divided into two parts…
- Why does delayed ejaculation happen and how can NoFap cure delayed ejaculation?
- Helpful tips on what you can do to become more “sensitive” and climax quicker with a more intense feeling.
Yes, NoFap can help delayed ejaculation. Not only help, but it is often the only thing you need in order to completely fix it. This is because years of pleasuring yourself to only adult websites has desensitized your reward center. Let’s take a closer look at how to fix things as fast as possible…
Why Fapping To Porn Can Cause Delayed Ejaculation
There are mainly two reasons why fapping to porn can cause delayed ejaculation.
- Today's high stimulating porn causes the reward center in your brain to become desensitized.
- Due to the desensitized reward center, some guys start using a tighter grip in order to feel more, and this further aggravate the problem, since now you also start making the penis itself less sensitive.
Number one is the big one here. It is the biggest reason for why millions of guys have trouble climaxing with a partner nowadays. It is important to know this, as even if you use a very light touch when fapping, the porn alone can cause delayed ejaculation…
…this is because today's porn tube sites are just that stimulating.
Porn tube sites make you override your natural satiation mechanism
Again, the problem is almost never fapping in and of itself. The problem lies in the way we consume the porn of today.
Most people do not watch a whole porn film because, well, it just get's boring pretty quickly -remember those words because it's a key factor and we are going to come back to them-
Here comes the devastating problem…
- Most people open a tube site with streaming function and search for or click on a porn clip.
- They watch it for a little while and then they want something NEW…
- So they click on another clip that is suggested to them under the current video…
- Then they watch that video for about 30-50 seconds or so and then they again feel that they want something NEW…
- And so they go after yet another clip…they continue and repeat this
- …over and over and over.
What you just read is the description of the core problem.

It's about dopamine…
When you are having sex, or watching porn, your dopamine levels are elevated. When the first clip is starting to become boring it is because your dopamine levels are on their way back down…
…but dopamine feels good, so this is why you keep clicking to a new scen in order for it to shoot up again.
You want it to raise again, but the problem is; when you keep doing this you are overriding your natural satiation mechanism.
In real life, dopamine is supposed to raise during sex because that is what's driving us to go after sex in the first place, but it is also supposed to come back down after a while. Think about it, when this happens in real life, you can't just click a mouse button to get a NEW partner every 40 seconds or so, like you do with the porn. This is why porn keeps your dopamine elevated far longer than in real life and thus you are overriding your natural satiation mechanism.
You need to know that keeping your dopamine levels sky high for a long time is bad.
Let's take a closer look at what happens to your brain when doing that…
When overriding your natural satiation mechanism – dopamine receptors suffer, leaving you with a disrupted dopamine system – causing a numb pleasure response!
They key thing to understand is that when you dopamine levels are too high for a long time, your brain will start protecting itself against the massive amount of dopamine and it does so by killing off a few dopamine receptors.
The receptors are small “slots” that dopamine is supposed to attach to in order for it to be able to do its job and when the brain starts killing them off, one by one, you are soon going to be suffering from a disrupted dopamine system.
This broken dopamine system causes many negative side effects…
…one of them is “desensitization” which basically means a numb pleasure response. You will in essence need more and more stimuli to feel the same effects.
This need fore more stimulation in order to feel the same effects and this numb pleasure response is the core problem behind delayed ejaculation. The same old stimuli is no longer doing it for you. You just can't feel enough pleasure from it any longer.
It's like your penis loses its sensitivity…
This is why your penis sometimes feels like it's not sensitive enough, but it is actually not your penis itself that is less sensitive, it is the weaker pleasure response in your brain that makes the sexual center send weaker and weaker arousal signals to your penis…
…and there you go, there's your delayed ejaculation problem right there!
It can even cause erectile dysfunction…
This numb pleasure respons has become huge problem for millions of guys in today's world, and unfortunately the problems are not limited to trouble climaxing. If the desensitization becomes severe enough it can cause erectile dysfunction…
…that's right, frequent fapping to today's high stimuli porn can actually cause total ED.
Scary to say the least!
The good news, however, is that no matter if it's delayed ejaculation or full blown ED, the brain changes will revers when the guy stops or takes a long time out from fapping to porn and then his problem with ED or trouble climaxing will resolve.
This period of time out or stopping altogether is a process called NoFap or “rebooting” and if you have problems with delayed ejaculation…
…that is exactly what you need to do.
Can NoFap Cure Delayed Ejaculation?
Yes it can, if you start doing NoFap or a so called PMO reboot the problem will slowly reverse itself…
So what to do?
Well, you should start doing NoFap to cure your delayed ejaculation.
Some guys just call it NoFap, other like to use the term “PMO rebooting”. Whatever you chose to call it it simply means that you stop fapping to porn.
You do this for as long as it takes to reverse your problems…
…be prepared for a period of several months.
What are the “rules”?
You can still have sex, and you SHOULD keep having sex because, unlike porn, real sex will help speed up your recovery process, but CUT OUT THE PORN and also avoid fapping in and of itself for a long period of time.
I highly recommend you cut out the porn for the rest of your life because that's the thing that caused your brain changes in the first place.
Look; I personally have no moral problems with porn, and I am not religious, but I stay away from porn as much as much as I can simply because I know the negative neurobiological effects it has on the brain. So even if you manage to reverse your problem by doing a long reboot, why would you want to go back to it again since it would probably just cause your problem to come back?
When it comes to fapping in and of itself, well, that's another thing…

What about fapping without porn after the reboot?
This is something that is up to each and everyone.
Masturbation is something that has always been a part of human behaviors and it never really caused any problems before we got high speed internet…
…it is when you mix it with today's super stimulating porn that it becomes a problem.
It's up to you to decide whether or not you want to keep the fapping habit in your life after your reboot is done. Just try to stay away for it as much as possible during the actual reboot process because if you keep fapping during this time, it will reactivate the porn pathways in your brain and the whole point of the reboot is to get those pathways to weaken and eventually die.
That said, many guys choose to, not only cut out the porn for good, but also cut out the masturbation for good…
…in other words; NoFap becomes a lifestyle for them and the only sexual release they have is with real life people.
How Long Does it Take For NoFap to Cure Delayed Ejaculation?
So how long does it take for NoFap to fix delayed ejaculation?
Ah, the million dollar question.
The truth is that it is different for everyone. It is very individual.
It depends on so many factors. Here are just a few of those factors…
- How deep the brain changes are?
- How young the guy was when he started using porn?
- Has he developed several, addiction related brain changes?
- How healthy his lifestyle is in other ways
- How much he is spending time with real life people during the reboot
…and much, much more.
I can give you some rough guidelines though, but you should take them with a grain of salt because again, it is so very individual.
Here are some general timelines…
- If you started fapping to porn at age 24 or older and you are not severely addicted:
(45-60 days) - If you started fapping to porn at age 24 or older and you have severe addiction related brain changes:
(60-180 days)
- If you started when younger than 24, but you are not severely addicted:
(75-200 days) - If you started when younger than 24, and you have severe addiction related brain changes:
(120-365 days)
Now, again, your results may vary and even though these numbers look grim, rest assured that if you keep going you will slowly, but surely get better.
Also, it is not an on / off switch, meaning you you will gradually start feeling more and more sensitivity again as the weeks roll by.
There are som lifestyle changes and other things you can do while rebooting to hopefully speed up the recovery process and in the video below I share a few of them.

Ok, so let's take a look at some quotes from of few guys for some examples on how long it takes for NoFap to cure delayed ejaculation.
Quotes From Guys Who Did NoFap For Delayed Ejaculation
” I am now on day 163 of nofap and for the last three weeks or so I have noticed my sensitivity returning. Before I started doing nofap I suffered from severe delayed ejaculation. I had to tighten the pc muscles hard and think of some kinky porn scene while having sex in order for me to ejaculate, and even so, most of the time I could not finish at all. My erections were also…well, not that great. It feels great to know that I'm almost cured now though and will never go back to porn again” – 22 year old guy-
“As an older guy (I am 57) I thought my problems with delayed ejaculation was just part of aging. But I still did some research online and found this whole rebooting community. Long story short, nofap cured my delayed ejaculation. I'm truly happy that I embarked on this whole nofap journey because I have noticed other benefits too. As far as my problems climaxing, I would say it took me about 7-8 months or so before I started seeing improvements.” -57 year old guy-
“I had massive problems with not being able to ejaculate. The sex would go on either until I went soft or we just had to “give up”. The even worse part was I felt almost zero pleasure. It was just this boring mechanical activity that my brain knew was supposed to be all great and all, but it wasn't…something was missing. Well… nofap fixed my problems with delayed ejaculation. It took me more than 5 months though and I thought I'd never get there…but I did and I'm o happy I kept going” -31 year old guy-
Things You Can Do – Other Than Nofap To Help Delayed Ejaculation
In order to reverse your problem with delayed ejaculation, the number one thing to do is of course rebooting. There is simply no way getting around that one and, while rebooting can be a scary and long process, the good news is…
First: there is no reason for you to put sex on hold while rebooting. in fact, sex with a real life person, instead of pixels on a screen will actually help speed up your recovery.
Second: there are some other things you can try, in addition to rebooting and NoFap to help regain sensitivity and thus also help reduce your problems with delayed ejaculation.
Let's take a look at a few tips to help you with increased sensitivity…
Sensitivity Tip # 1 – Garlic and Vitamin C
Garlic significantly increase “nitric oxid” in your body. Nitric oxide relaxes the inner muscles of your blood vessels and this causes them to widen, and guess what…
…this is especially noticeable in your nether regions.
Now, if we combine garlic with high doses of vitamin C, something interesting happens. The vitamin C and the garlic seem to enhance each other, making the effects even greater. For many guys this results in harder erections and not only that, but also an increase in sensitivity.

2-3 cloves with 1000-2000mg of vitamin C
You may have to try different doses in order to find what's optimal for you, but 2-3 garlic cloves in combination with 1000-2000mg of vitamin C seem to be an amount that works pretty well for many guys.
Of course, one negative side effect is the bad breath that comes along with eating garlic, but if your girlfriend likes foods containing garlic, why not eat a garlic rich romantic dinner prior to the sex?
That way she won't be bothered by your breath and you can take your additional 2-3 cloves with the 1000-2000mg of vitamin C about 1-2 hours prior to the sex.
Sensitivity Tip # 2 – AlphaViril

While the garlic and vitamin C is does work and is a pretty cheap option, nothing, and I do mean NOTHING increases sensitivity in my penis as much as the natural testosterone and libido booster product “AlphaViril“.
This is a product that is designed to boost your bodys natural testosterone production, reduce estrogen production while at the same time increase your dopamine production, and it works surprisingly well.
Dopamine and testosterone are the biggest key players in driving libido and, just like with the garlic and the vitamin C, AlphaViril also significantly increase nitric oxide, creating a big increase in blood flow to your nether regions.
In addition to this, AlphaViril also contains several other ingredients that stimulates the sexual center in the brain, making it send stronger signals to your penis, resulting in fuller, harder erections and the increase in sensitivity is pretty amazing…
…in fact, a few hours after taking it the increased sensitivity and blood flow is so strong that I can even feel the pulse at the top of my penis when I'm aroused and sex just feels extremely pleasurable.
This will of course significantly improve problems with delayed ejaculation.

Sensitivity Tip # 3 – Heavy Squats
Heavy squats are one of the absolute best physical exercise you can do when it comes to your penis and your sexual health in general.
So why is this?
Well, here's why…
- They ramp up your testosterone production
- They increase dopamine
- They strengthen and increase blood flow in your pelvic floor
- They stretch your pelvic flow, making your pc muscles more flexible
Now, of course you have to build up to it and don't just start adding a shit load of weights right away as that would be a recipe for disaster. But even during the process of working your way up in strength, you will probably start noticing results. Squats are phenomenal for your sensitivity and erection health in general…
…but be prepared for it to take a few weeks before they start to pay dividends.

IMPORTANT Things You Need To Know About Recovery After Reboot
One important thing to note about rebooting is that, after rebooting a few months and you start regaining your sensitivity again, it is tempting to go all crazy with ejaculations and try to get as many as possible of them during a hot weekend with your girl…
…try to avoid this temptation.
Not that there is something wrong or unhealthy about orgasms, but it it may put you back into a so called “flatline” if you after months of rebooting all of a sudden start having a massive amounts of them. Instead, build up the amount gradually. Again, this is if you have been going a long time without them.
Think of it like food and fasting; after a 10 day fast it would not be smart to go to an all you can eat pizza buffet as your very first meal as that would completely shock your digestive system.
However, If you DO go all crazy with ejaculations and it throws you back into a flatline, then don't worry, all you need to do in that case is to just keep having sex, but limit your orgasms again for a few weeks, and after that, gradually build up the amount.

F.A.Q's About NoFap and Delayed Ejaculation
Q: Most people say it takes 90 days to fix delayed ejaculation with nofap but I got better after only 30 days. Does this mean that fapping was not my problem and I can go back to using porn?
A: It's up to each and everyone to choose how they want to live, but I don't think going back is such a smart idea. While the majority of men need much more than 30 days in order to fix DE, some people do heal that fast. Some people need 90 days, other much more than that while some lucky guys recover faster. If you do go back, however, you will quickly find out if porn was the problem and if your DE returns, then you know for sure. But again, if I were you, I would not go back.
Q: Does nofap help delayed ejaculation if I stop fapping but keep watching porn?
A: Probably not, unless you had some really weird fapping habit and had some severe “death grip fapping action” going on. Porn is the problem. It causes a numb pleasure response in your brain, which in turn makes your sexual center send weaker and weaker signals to your penis, thus making you feel less when having sex. I'm sorry to say, but in order for nofap to work for delayed ejaculation, porn has to go.
Q: If you could only recommend one single thing in addition to nofap to help with delayed ejaculation, what would that be?
A: Without a doubt, it would be AlphaViril, that I talked about a few lines up. Nothing else, other than NoFap of course, makes the sensitivity and blood going in your penis like that product.
